The DOCTA Campaign — launching on Indiegogo

Help us bring the asado to Northern Europe.

DOCTA is preparing to launch on Indiegogo: a real Argentine parrilla, built around a working brasero, designed in Finland by someone who grew up around the fire in Córdoba. This page is the full story — the product, the people, and what backing early gets you.

The Indiegogo campaign hasn't gone live yet. The moment it does, this button turns into a direct link to back it.

Why Indiegogo

Crowdfunding lets us validate real demand and fund DOCTA's first production run with the people who want this first, instead of guessing. It gives the first supporters a place in the process, while helping us commit to production with a clearer picture of what is needed. For now, we're preparing — not collecting funds.

Built like a tool, not an appliance

Mechanical where it matters.

This is the confirmed DOCTA production unit, agreed with our manufacturing partner.

01 — The mechanism

Heat, adjusted by hand.

A hand-crank height-adjustable grate and rotisserie bar, driven by cables and pulleys. No motors, no electronics. Raise or lower the whole cooking surface to control the heat; S-hooks let you hang cuts asado-style.

02 — Beside the fire

Everything within reach.

A side-mounted stainless basket keeps wood, charcoal and tools off the ground and within reach while you cook. A hanging asado hook sits near the firebox, where it belongs.

What's included

Grilling tool set.

Included grilling tool set in its open hard case, with wooden-handled utensils, skewers and a grilling glove

Comes with a complete grilling tool set.

Wood → Fire → Embers → Parrilla → Food → People

Fire you use, not just fire you burn.

Wood burns separately in the brasero until it collapses into embers. Only then are those embers shovelled beneath the grate, spread thin or piled deep depending on what's cooking.

Move the embers, raise or lower the grate, and manage the two cooking zones yourself. Combined with grate height and ember position, you control the two things every good asador manages by hand: heat and flare.

The food is the reason. The people around the fire are the point.

05 — Argentina × North

From Córdoba to the North.

Marcos grew up in Córdoba, Argentina — La Docta, as locals call it — where cooking over wood fire isn't a weekend hobby, it's just how you cook. After moving to Finland, he spent more than three years working as a professional chef in Lapland — cooking through some of the harshest conditions in Europe. Along the way he found plenty of good grills, but nothing built around a real brasero, and nothing that treated fire as the point rather than a means to an end.

DOCTA started as an attempt to bring that tradition somewhere it didn't exist yet — built for gardens, terraces and cabins across the Nordics, not only for people who already know what a parrilla is.

“I didn't want to sell a grill. I wanted to bring the fire I grew up with.”

Manufacturing & quality

Our spec. Our responsibility.

Designed and quality-controlled to European standards, and built around the real technique of Argentine asado — not an imitation of it. DOCTA designs and specifies every component. Production is handled by a specialist manufacturer working to DOCTA's spec and quality control, with every unit inspected before it leaves for Europe. Warranty, spare parts and support are handled locally, not overseas.
